An Adelaide native, Van Der Linden joins the Bite's reserve squad for his third ABL season in 2014/15. He was a SASI Scholarship Athlete in 2011, and was a member of the MLB Australian Academy Program, along with the Australian Schoolboys Baseball team. The young infielder has ten career ABL at bats, and looks to get his first professional hit this year. When not playing for the Bite, Van Der Linden also mans the field for the West Torrens Baseball Club.
