New South Wales native Williams enters his fifth season in the new ABL. He spent his first three ABL season playing for the Sydney Blue Sox before joining the Bite in 2013. He won the ABL's 'Reliever of the Year' award after recording a league-record 15 saves in the 2012/13 season while serving as the closer for the Blue Sox. The next season, he was named the Bite Pitcher of the Year in 2013/14. A longtime member of Team Australia, Williams wore the green and gold in the 2009 Baseball World Cup and 2013 World Baseball Classic. Williams' role in season 2014/15 changed from reliever to starter and he was required by the Bite to start in four games. He answered the challenge accordingly by picking up three wins along the way. A tenacious competitor, Williams will be an asset for the Bite in season 2014/15 in whatever role the team requires of him.

Before playing in the ABL, Williams signed with the Minnesota Twins as an amateur free agent in 2004 and made his professional debut in 2005 with the Rookie-level GCL Twins. Williams played in the Twins' organisation until 2010, finishing his career with the Double A New Britain Rock Cats. In six minor league seasons, he posted a 21-14 record and 3.25 ERA in 202 games, mostly as a reliever.
