Three great players, three power hitters and the three players Liam Hendriks struck out in the MLB All-Star debut this morning.

After being called into the American League's All-Star team as a late injury replacement, former Perth Heat pitcher Hendriks looked right at home on the biggest stage of all as he struck out three batters in a strong sixth inning as the AL defeated the National League 4-3 in Cleveland.

Hendriks, a former Wanneroo Giants junior showed off his full arsenal of pitches, including a 'trick pitch', and despite giving up a solo home run to Charlie Blackmon, picked up the hold as the AL claimed bragging rights.

With his outing, Hendriks became just the third Australian to appear in an All-Star game.
