Pair of Aces honoured in round 10
01/29/2018 9:02 PM ET

The Melbourne Aces needed to take care of business on one of the toughest road trips in the ABL in Round 10, and two of their stars stood up to seal the team's second consecutive playoff appearance.

ABL veterans Darryl George and Josh Tols were both outstanding across the weekend, and have been named Delta Players of the Week.

Already in the midst of a career year in the ABL, Aces infielder Darryl George set the west alight with some incredible hitting in round 10.

George finished the weekend going 11-for-19, with five home runs and 11 RBI.

In his 225 appearances with the Aces, George has tallied 16 home runs and 91 RBI, those numbers have been significantly boosted this season as the Aces superstar has claimed 11 home runs and 30 RBI in 40 games.

Josh Tols was impeccable in the Aces' series opener against the Heat, as the leftie worked quickly and consistently kept Heat hitters off balance.

Allowing only one hit through seven scoreless innings, Tols struck out 11 and cemented himself as one of the league's best starters as he began a season defining series for the Aces in perfect fashion.

The Aces face the Brisbane Bandits in a best-of-three series beginning on Friday, get your playoff tickets here!
