Rain suspends play in Adelaide
11/30/2017 7:16 AM ET

Wild weather has forced game one of the series between Adelaide and Canberra at Adelaide Shores to be suspended.

The game will resume tomorrow at 4pm local time with the Cavalry leading 4-2 in the fourth after a second rain delay halted play on Thursday night.

It will remain a nine-inning contest, with game two to follow directly after.

The Australian Baseball League will make an announcement on game three and four of the series soon.

Canberra will resume with a lead following a four-run second inning against Bite starter Chris Powell.

The Cavs took advantage of a defensive mix-up between Adelaide outfielder Darius Day and shortstop Rodrigo Ayarza to level the score before Gabriel Arias cleared the bases with a triple and scored on a throwing error.

The Bite then took advantage of an error in the fourth as Stephen Lohr scored on an RBI-single by Chang Tai-shan to cut the margin to two runs.

Earlier, Adelaide scored first for the sixth time in nine games on Chang's first hit of the night.

First pitch was delayed for more than 90 minutes following heavy rainfall in Adelaide.

Any further announcements will be made on
