Bandits Host Swing4Scoot Saturday
01/21/2017 2:13 AM ET

The Brisbane Bandits, proudly presented by WellDog, are thrilled to host the Swing4Scoot Foundation Game, Saturday, the 21st of Jan. as the Bandits play the Alcohol. Think Again Perth Heat.

Swing4Scoot is a foundation in memory of Scott "Scooter" Carrington that raises awareness for cancer research. Swing4Scoot was founded after three of Scott's closest friends made a pact to keep his memory alive.

As a tribute to Swing4Scoot, every Bandits player and coach will be sporting a Swing4Scoot ballcap Saturday night!

Following the same tune, a representative from Swing4Scoot will be throwing out the first pitch with a Swing4Scoot baseball. During the pre-game festivities, keep an eye on the pitcher's mound as the Swing4Scoot abbreviation, "S4S", will be outlined with Swing4Scoot baseballs. Each baseball is to commerate those fighting the battle with cancer.

If you're looking to get involved with the Swing4Scoot foundation, the 100-inning baseball game is a great place to start! The 100-inning game is entering the fourth year of play at AFA Stadium at Holloway Field as an opportunity to raise money for cancer awareness. The Brisbane Bandits community has done a fantastic job supporting Swing4Scoot throughout the years! Bandits Coach, Shayne Watson, and Bandits groundskeeper, Joel McInnes, have played in all 100 innings of the annual game, as David Sutherland pays tribute every year to play in the game, as well. As Justin Erasmus travels the world playing baseball, he captures photographs of him with the Swing4Scoot hat in an effort to raise awareness.

The Brisbane Bandits are honoured to have the Swing4Scoot Foundation at Saturday's game!
