The Couran Cove Brisbane Bandits welcome back pitching coach legend Jim Bennett for a fifth straight season.

Bennett who will join the Team Australia coaching staff as Pitching Coach alongside Head Coach David Nilsson will return to the Bandits family in its chase for a fifth consecutive Claxton Shield title.

New CEO Adrian Lamb says "Jim is an integral part of our ongoing success here in Brisbane and we are all excited he's returning this season."

Bennett who coached originally in the ABL with the Perth Heat in their last victory campaign back in 2014/15 has spent 5 seasons on championship-winning teams, four of them with consecutive Claxton Shield wins for Brisbane.

When contacted Bennett said "I'm excited to be back! The Bandits are family and I'm thankful that David, Mark and Adrian wanted me to be a part of it back in 2015."

Bennett arrives in October to begin the defence of the Couran Cove Brisbane Bandits hold on the Claxton Shield.
