The Couran Cove Brisbane Bandits are thrilled to announce David Nilsson to return for a sixth straight season as Head Coach.
The recently awarded Order of Australia medal recipient, former Milwaukee Brewers All Star Catcher, Queensland Coach of the year, Queensland Great and Australian National Coach has signed on again to lead his Brisbane team on their quest for a fifth straight Claxton Shield Championship.
With the successful expansion of the league last season to include two new teams, the job to win a fourth straight shield went right down to the last game in a 40 game regular season. The Bandits finished on top of the ladder and eventually defeated the resurgent Perth Heat in the championship series.
Nilsson said "I'm excited to continue building on the success of our organisation. The goal is to win a 5th consecutive championship and after a long offseason the coaching staff and players are ready to go."
With the first pre-season games only 9 weeks away the Couran Cove Brisbane Bandits are deep in preparation to begin their defence of the Claxton Shield.
