Hello happy heaters!

Welcome to my first official CEO-blog!

From today, I'll send out a monthly update on what's happening around the Perth Heat and when the season begins, each week I'll be personally available to meet fans at training and chat all things Perth Heat because your views and opinions are important to us.

With the season now four months away, our countdown to 2019/20 has officially begun and the great news is we have so many exciting things to share!

The ballpark!

The redevelopment of our ballpark is well and truly underway. What will be new? A lot of different items across the board, with members, fans, players and sponsors all benefiting!

The New Ballpark upgrade will include:

  • A new permanent grandstand/extension (1st base side), this will provide 565 additional seats (plus 11 accessible spaces).
  • A new raised viewing deck will be constructed behind grandstand extension.
  • There will be new seating throughout the ballpark (including the replacement of all existing seats).
  • Improved premium/corporate seating.
  • Additional carpark, connecting to the existing carpark that will provide an additional 147 permanent bays.
  • A new entry into the ballpark, inclusive of a new forecourt precinct for pre-match activities and other offerings. The new entry will be located behind the first base side, connecting to the new carpark.
  • A new ticket booth will be located on the western side of the ballpark between the new and existing entry. This will centralise all ticket sales and collections, and importantly help reduce crowds at the entry gates.
  • Improved amenities throughout the ballpark, will see a new bar constructed at the back of the terrace, improved vendor spaces and additional ablutions.
  • The family area down 3rd base side will be enhanced with new limestone/grass terracing.
  • And the players' facilities will also be upgraded with changeroom extensions, dugout extensions and additional batting cages included. The field of play will also undergo a minor adjustment to improve player safety.

Perth Heat will have a new apparel partner in 2019/20 with the added bonus of:

  • An online shop
  • A merchandise store at the ballpark and
  • A full range of merchandise for members and fans to purchase

Stay tuned for more details as we reveal our new jerseys for this season!

Game Day:

A huge thank you to all our members who took the time to complete our members post-season survey. The feedback provided was exceptional and extremely helpful.

We acknowledge most of the feedback we received was about the game day food and we are working with a number of different caterers to make significant improvements for this season!

Again, if you'd like to make any suggestions please email them through to

Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to become a member of the Perth Heat. The response has been wonderful and our membership tally is soaring. Members are the lifeblood of a sports team and your loyalty is greatly appreciated.

In the coming weeks, we will begin to announce the list of member benefits you'll be able to access from our sponsors and corporate partners. There will be great savings and promotions for Heat members to access with their membership card.

Additionally, thank you to all the clubs who have welcomed us into their registration days. So far, Perth Heat have been involved in 29 different events from Alkimos in the north to Peel in the south and Kalamunda in the east, the response has been overwhelming. Please remember to contact us, if you'd like us to visit your club!

I'd also like to thank Michael Evensen from our membership team for his hard work and dedication alongside all the community clubs from Baseball WA, Softball WA and Tee-ball WA.

Perth Heat will release our full home and away schedule, this time next week!

And finally

Did you know Perth Heat will be celebrating our 30th anniversary this season! Yes, it's 30 years since the club played its first game in 1989/90.

As part of our 30th birthday celebrations, we'll have some very special connections to our great history and look forward to sharing these announcements with you in the coming weeks.

We can't wait for the new season to begin and share more special moments with you at the ballpark.
