The Canberra Cavalry are pleased to announce a broadcasting deal with National Indigenous Television (NITV) starting on Saturday 25 May.

Six games will be shown nationwide on NITV, free-to-air on channel 34 over the next month. NITV is also broadcast on Foxtel Channel 144. The Cavalry and NITV hope to promote the game to the indigenous communities and to a national audience around Australia.

Canberra Cavalry Director Daniel Amodio believes that this deal is a win-win for both parties and how it can help promote the Cavalry's state of the art facilities.

"Broadcasting Cavalry games on free-to-air TV is a great opportunity to showcase the ABL to new audiences," Amodio said.

"NITV is a diverse station and we are looking forward to introducing their viewers to showcases from Australia's best ballpark and including Australia's best commentary team.

"We are excited for what this milestone means for the growth of the ABL on television and hope this is just the beginning on free-to-air tv."

Kamberra Indigenous Cleaning is an Official Sponsor and Community Partner of the Canberra Cavalry and Diverse Baseball Canberra, a local organisation focused on developing baseball participation among the Indigenous Community.

Kamberra CEO Simon Rolfe praised the momentous deal and said that viewers from diverse backgrounds will embrace the sport of Baseball.

"The Canberra Cavalry should be commended on promoting the sport of baseball to the Indigenous communities through the National Indigenous TV," Rolfe said.

"It provides the community with another sport to engage with in addition to traditional sporting platforms like AFL and Rugby League.

"The Canberra Cavalry provide quality entertainment to all that watch and attend and inspire many young fans to realise and follow their dreams, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background.

"National Indigenous TV viewers will now have the opportunity to not only watch the Canberra Cavalry in action but be truly inspired by a professional organisation and playing group."
