Sydney has announced Tony Harris will not continue as manager for the 2019/20 Brut Australian Baseball League season.

The Blue Sox announced a mutual split "as a result of distances and scheduling conflicts" on their social media accounts this morning.

Harris guided Sydney to its first playoff series since 2015 in his second season at the Blue Sox.

Sydney took game one of their ABLSF presented by Boral against Perth before falling in three games to miss out on a maiden trip to the ABL Championship Series.

The Sox were 38-42 during two regular season campaigns under Harris, including 25-15 during the recently completed season.

Harris previously managed Adelaide for three seasons from the launch of the new ABL, guiding the Bite to the 2011 ABLCS.

He was Manager of the Year three times with the Adelaide Giants during the former ABL.

Harris was Sydney's fourth manager in nine seasons.
