A former Corvallis Knight talent who was drafted by the NY Yankees - but did not sign - Perez had a superb first professional season.

The 25-year-old did not concede a run in his first five games, all up he allowed runs in five of 18 appearances, and in December was arguably the Club's most reliable reliever.

His consistency saw him make a late move into a closing role as well, with manager Chris Adamson and pitching coach Luke Prokopec showing plenty of faith.

GAMES: 18
ERA: 3.91
INNINGS: 25.1
RUNS: 11
STRIKEOUTS: 23
WHIP: 1.18

The highlight

As Adelaide snapped up a 3-2 win over Perth on November 30 Perez threw three strikeouts over two hitless innings.

What's next?

Perez is about to head to spring training for Liga Mexicana de Beisbol (LMB) side Toros of Tijuana following a successful workout with the club. While he has not officially made their final LMB roster the tryout is a chance to impress and take another leap forward in his career.
