Season Review: Yoshihiro Tamura
02/11/2019 8:27 PM ET

In limited innings Tamura had a slow initiation into the ABL but the left handed hurler quickly found his rhythm.

He consistently hit the strike zone and rarely gave up an easy base.

As a part of Chris Adamson's bullpen he was the perfect option in tight situations, and he had a knack for pitching through difficult situations with composure.

2018/19 ABL season

The highlight

Adelaide's season ended in dismal fashion - a 20-8 loss - but on that night Tamura was the pick of the pitchers. He pitched 2 1/3 innings, his longest stint of the season, allowing just one run from five hits. He had a team-high three strikeouts.

What's next?

Tamura returns for action with Honda Sayama alongside Bite teammate Hirotaka Tochiya. Sayama are a part of the Japan Amateur Baseball Association, and most recently won the Intercity Baseball Tournament in 2009, JABA's premiere tournament.
