Tochiya's Australian initiation was a challenge with a high ERA something that could have set the tone for a difficult season.
He bounced back, however, with two wins in relief including the away scalp of Perth, with limited game time on the time.

The highlight
In one of Adelaide's best games, Tochiya worked through the middle innings in a 4-2 away win over Perth, allowing only three hits and two runs, throwing three strikeouts.
What's next?
Tochiya returns for action with Honda Sayama alongside Bite teammate Yoshihiro Tamura. Sayama are a part of the Japan Amateur Baseball Association, and most recently won the Intercity Baseball Tournament in 2009, JABA's premiere tournament.
