Perth avoided another game one slip-up against Geelong-Korea, powering to a 15-7 win in their Brut Australian Baseball League clash on Thursday night.

The Heat scored six runs in the first and six more in the second on their way to a resounding win at Perth-Harley Davidson Ballpark.

Tristran Gray hit a first-inning grand slam before Alex Hall's sixth homer of the season extended Perth's advantage to 6-0.

The Heat batted around in the second as they piled on the runs, and the hits, to extend their lead over inactive Melbourne and Adelaide in the South-West Division race.

Gray finished with four RBI - on one swing of the bat - and Hall and Jake Bowey each drove in three runs as Perth collected its 20th win of the season.

Starter John Anderson worked six tidy innings, striking out six and allowing four runs.

Perth lost game one of its early-season series against GK but made sure a repeat did not happen this time around.

The Heat racked up 13 hits to eight and went 10-for-16 with runners in scoring position.

Kwang-Min Kwon homered for Geelong-Korea in a four-run third.

The four-game series continues at Perth Harley-Davidson Ballpark from 7pm local time on Friday night.
