TJ Bennett homered twice as Brisbane completed a sweep of its Brut Australian Baseball League doubleheader against Auckland on Saturday.

The Bandits wrapped up a fourth win of the five-game series, overpowering the Tuatara 12-4 at OneHub Stadium powered by Optus.

Brisbane took an early 2-0 lead on Bennett's first homer of the game, following a lead-off single from Riley Unroe.

An exciting fourth inning saw Auckland claim the lead, with Zach Clark going deep.

Taylor Snyder added an inside-the-park home run, also allowing Max Brown to score, as the Tuatara took a 3-2 lead.

However, the Bandits refused to go down without a fight.

Bennett went deep with his 10th homer of the season in the fourth, while Andrew Campbell also scored for the home side.

Brisbane padded its lead in the seventh.

Daniel Nilsson's single scored Logan Wade after Bennett scored on a wild pitch.

Ryan Battaglia's double gave Nilsson a prime opportunity to also score for the Bandits, bringing the score to 12-4 at the end of the seventh inning.

Auckland put on an impressive defence from shortstop Snyder and second baseman Nick Tanielu, who caught out Brisbane's Unroe on second base before he had the chance to score.

Brisbane will take on Canberra at OneHub Stadium in round nine, while Auckland will meet the Sydney Blue Sox at Blacktown International Sports Park.
