Brisbane has blasted four home runs on its way to a 2-0 lead in its five-game Brut Australian Baseball League series against Auckland on Thursday night.

Andrew Campbell, David Sutherland, Riley Unroe and Wynton Bernard all went deep as the Bandits overpowered the Tuatara 15-4 at OneHub Stadium powered by Optus.

Auckland struck in the top of the first ahead of Campbell's three-run shot - his sixth of the season - putting Brisbane on top 3-1.

The Tuatara took a second lead on Zach Clark's two-run homer after Max Brown reached on an error to start the second.

But it was shortlived with the Bandits piling on seven runs in the bottom of the inning.

Riley Unroe' RBI-double started the big inning, which was capped off by a two-run homer from David Sutherland.

Clark's second homer in the seventh cut Brisbane's advantage to six runs.

The Bandits responded with a couple of long balls of their own.

Unroe homered before Bernard made it back-to-back bombs with his first in the ABL.

Auckland will chase its first win of the series in game three from 6pm local time tomorrow.
