Logan Wade's third multi-homer game has lifted Brisbane to a 9-4 win over Auckland in their Brut Australian Baseball League opener at One Hub Stadium powered by Optus on Wednesday night.

The Bandits rode Wade's five RBIs and a strong start from Ryan Bollinger to their 16th win of the season.

Brisbane struck first in a makeup of the rained out 24 November contest between the teams originally slated for Auckland.

Andrew Campbell and TJ Bennett strung together two-out singles in the first ahead of Wade going deep to right field for his first homer of the season.

Wade went yard again in the third after Tuatara debutant Stephen Swagerty walked Campbell.

The Bandits added a pair of eighth-inning runs to extend their buffer, before pinch hitter Ryan Battaglia tacked on his third homer of the season in the top of the ninth.

Brisbane starter Ryan Bollinger struck out eight in 4 2/3 innings, allowing one run on two walks and three hits.

Bandits' reliever Sam Holland struck out three in two scoreless innings before Auckland rallied.

The Tuatara added three runs in the bottom of the ninth before their fight came to an end.

The five-game series continues at 6pm tomorrow.
