Michael Gettys blasted his Brut Australian Baseball League leading fifth homer and Austin Gallagher went deep for a second-straight game as Adelaide thumped Geelong-Korea 10-3 on Friday night.

The Bite scored 10-straight runs after GK struck first - on an error in the second - on their way to 2-0 series lead at Geelong Baseball Centre.

Gettys' fifth homer of the season, a three-run shot in the third, was the highlight of a six-run inning.

Adelaide drew level on a bases-loaded walk, took the lead on a wild pitch, and added to it on Gettys' long ball to centre field off Geelong-Korea reliever Geon-Yep Heo.

Nicholas Shumpert's RBI-single put the Bite up 6-1 after three.

Gallagher piled more pain on GK's pitching in the fourth, going deep to right field after Aaron Whitefield singled and Mikey Reynolds was walked.

Shumpert's ABL-high third hit - a double in the seventh - drove in his second run and Adelaide's 10th.

Bite starter Kurt Heyer worked six innings, allowing one unearned run on five hits.

He struck out five hitters and did not give up a walk.

Geelong-Korea scored a couple of late runs against Adelaide reliever Jackson Brebner-Russ.

Shumpert and Mitch Edwards each finished with three hits and Gallagher a game-high four RBI.

Game three is at Geelong Baseball Centre from 7pm tomorrow.
