Melbourne dominated their Brut Australian Baseball League series finale against Geelong-Korea, running away 11-1 winners at Melbourne Ballpark on Sunday.

Luke Hughes made history along the way, becoming the first player in the modern-day ABL to hit 50 homers.

His record-setting shot came in the top of the third inning.

Long-balls remained in vogue after last night's wild 18-12 win, with Hughes, DJ Burt and Ryan Dale all going deep for the Aces.

Burt and Dale both finished with three RBI for Melbourne.

GK were able to get the first hit of the game through Huk-Jun Noh, although no damage was inflicted on the scoreboard.

The Aces were able to capitalise on their opportunities with Garrison Schwartz and Jake Romanski getting home in the bottom of the second inning.

The Aces were ruthless in the bottom of the fifth.

Rudy Martin got home due to a Garrison Schwartz fly ball to left field. Ryan Dale then sent a ball into orbit, bringing Burt and Darryl George home with him in a massive home run.

The Aces will head to Perth next Friday night in top of the table clash to contest first spot in the South West division. Geelong-Korea will host Adelaide this Thursday in the first of their four-day series.
