The Bandits dominated the double header, winning the second game of the series against a strong Sydney side 7-4 in their Brut Australian Baseball League clash on Saturday night.

A stunning homer from Ryan Battaglia allowed Wade Dutton and Chi-Hung Hsu to score in the fourth inning, giving Brisbane an early lead.

Former MLBer Gift Ngoepe nailed his second and third homer of the series, but it wasn't enough as Brisbane bounced back in a big way.

Tim Atherton gave the Bandits a solid platform, with the reigning ABL Championship Series MVP tossing five scoreless innings, and only allowing one unearned run.

Wade Dutton also proved to be a valuable influence in Brisbane's win, scoring in the second inning, courtesy of an RBI single from Mitchell Ellis.

Sydney fought hard against the home side, keeping the Bandits offence at bay, but a three-run seventh inning put the game out of reach.

Riley Unroe, TJ Bennett and Donald Lutz all had a hand in the defining frame, elevating the score to 7-2.

Brisbane faced multiple pitching changes at the top of the seventh inning, but it was fan favourite Matt Timms who was the pick of the relievers, striking out three in 1.1 innings of work.

The series finale kicks off at 2pm local tomorrow, with the game live and free on Bandits TV.
