ABL returns to FOX Sports
The ABL will return to FOX Sports for the first time since 2012/13

For the first time since the 2012/13 season, the Australian Baseball League will be broadcasted live onto Fox Sports Australia.

With the new arrangement, Fox Sports will broadcast 40 games between November 15 - February 3, including a select number of playoff fixtures.

Speaking to The Australian, ABL Chief Executive Cam Vale says the new broadcasting deal will allow the league to expand to new audiences.

"We're in a friendly time zone for Asia and for commercial purposes the (number) of eyeballs we can attract in Asia is vital, which works alongside our deal with Fox Sports that is good in terms of building more of an Australian audience," he said.

ABL.tv has held the league's main broadcasting rights since 2014/15, with games also shown on ESPN AUS/NZ, Fox Sports Asia and the MLB Network as recently as 2016/17.

More announcements regarding the ABL's 2018/19 broadcasting schedule are expected in the coming weeks.
