Former big leaguer back for the Aces
Slugger hit 13 homers during 2017/2018 ABL season

The Melbourne Aces have announced MLB veteran Delmon Young will return for a second season in the Australian Baseball League.

The former top pick in the MLB Draft made 40 regular-season appearances for the Aces last season, hitting .280 with 29 RBIs and a team-high 13 home runs.

Young warmed up in the second half of the season, with 10 of his homers coming in the final 20 games of the regular season.

The 32-year-old spent 10 seasons in the MLB with Tampa Bay, Minnesota, Detroit, Philadelphia and Baltimore.

He played 1118 games and was named American League Championship Series MVP in 2012 while at Detroit.
