Brisbane Bandits outfielder Andrew Campbell claimed the Chinese Professional Baseball League home run derby on Sunday night.

Campbell hit three home runs in the final to edge out defending champion Yang Yao-hsun of the Lamigo Monkeys.

"The pressure was on as I faced Taiwan's big stars, but it was an enjoyable experience," Campbell told the Taipei Times.

"I hope that my participation helped to build up a closer working relationship between Taiwanese and Australian baseball."

Bandits' teammate Logan Wade joined Campbell in the home run derby as they became the first Australians to compete in the event.

Both hit four home runs in the opening round.

In Saturday's All-Star Game the White Team held off the Red Team 8-7.
