The ABL is a key step in the development of local and international baseball players with ambitions of playing professional baseball in some of the world's biggest leagues.

This offseason, over 30 Canberra Cavalry alumni are playing and coaching professional baseball. The impressive list of alumni include local Canberran talent and international imports who played in the ABL since the Cavalry's inception in 2010.

Robbie Perkins, playing for the Asheville Tourists, a minor league affiliate of the Colorado Rockies and Michael Collins, coaching for MLB's Houston Astros, headline the impressive list of local talent representing Canberra overseas.

Didi Gregorius, playing for MLB's New York Yankees, and Kevin Kiermaier, playing for MLB's Tampa Bay Rays, are two Cavalry alumni who have established themselves as stars on Major League Baseball's biggest stage.
