The Australian Baseball League had the honour of hosting members of the CPBL executive at the 2018 ABL Championship Series presented by Boral.

Commissioner Mr. Chih-Yang Wu, Secretary General Mr. Sheng-Hsien Feng, Deputy Secretary General Mr. Alex Hsu and Mr. James Young, division of International Affairs were all in attendance at both game two and three of the ABL Championship Series. Mr. Wu also had the honour of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch in the second game of the ABLCS.

Following Baseball Australia CEO Cam Vale confirming interest in entering an Australian team into the CPBL, discussions between Vale and Mr. Wu continued over the weekend.

As the discussions between Baseball Australia and the CPBL continues to flourish, Vale is confident of a mutually beneficial arrangement.

"Having Mr. Wu and the CPBL delegation at our showpiece event gave them a firsthand look at the ABL, both the standard on the field and the great support off the field," Vale said.

"We have seen unprecedented interest in Australian Baseball in overseas markets, notably Taiwan. To host Mr. Wu was a pleasure, and I look forward to advancing our relationship further."
