Brisbane sent another ominous warning to its rivals, blasting its way to a 12-5 victory over Melbourne on Friday night.

After hitting a ballpark record eight home runs a night earlier, the Bandits went deep three times and put on seven runs in the fifth of a dominant win at Holloway Field.

Logan Wade homered twice and Lin Chih-sheng added his eighth of the season as Brisbane gave usually reliable Aces' starter Josh Tols a tough time.

The left-hander allowed nine earned runs on 11 hits in 4 2/3 innings for Melbourne.

He finished with eight strikeouts but was constantly under pressure from the Bandits' relentless offence.

Brisbane racked up 13 hits, led by three from Wade.

The infielder took Tols deep to start the bottom of the second and added his fourth of the season in the fifth as the Bandits opened up a 12-2 lead.

In between Wade's long shots, Lin mashed his eighth ABL home run.

Michael Crouse and Delmon Young added home runs for the Aces.

Chen Hung-wen worked six innings after starting for Brisbane, giving up two runs on six hits and striking out eight.

The ABL leading Bandits improved to 21-7, while Melbourne's record dropped to 12-17.

The five-game series continues with a doubleheader from 3.30pm local time on Saturday.
