CANBERRA - The Canberra Cavalry travelled to ANU School of Music on Monday 18 December, 2017 to record new team song GO CAVS GO!

"We are very community focused," said Dan Amodio, General Manager of the Cavalry. "So it wasn't hard to get (Cavalry players) to come out, especially for chance like this. It was a chance to get into a recording studio and do something different, and to partner up with such a great organisation is really special for us."

The idea to record a team song at ANU came when Amodio was first introduced to Ken Lampl, the Head of ANU School of Music.

"There's a very close relationship between music and sport," said Lampl. "This was an opportunity, not only for the ANU Schhol of Music and the Cavalry, but also for the students. It's a big win for the community and sports and I think everyone had a good time doing it."

The first 500 downloads will receive a free ticket to the Single Release Party during the Cavalry game on Friday 12 Jan from 6:30pm at MIT Ballpark in Narrabundah ACT. The track is the result of a truly unique collaboration between our passionate Cavalry Members, the ANU School of Music, led by Prof. Kenneth Lampl and the surprisingly musical Cavalry players and staff.
