Crouse joins the Aces for second half run
12/27/2017 1:09 AM ET

The Aces must have been good this year because Santa has delivered with former Canberra Cavalry Cavalry and Team Canada star Michael Crouse set to join the squadron for our second half run.

We last saw Michael Crouse in the ABL in 2013-14 when he was a part of the Cavalry's Asian Championship team. During that ABL season, the 193cm outfielder hit .289 with 8 home runs, 23 RBIs and 11 swiped bags.

Crouse, who was a part of Team Canada's 2017 World Baseball Classic's roster spent five years as a part of the Toronto Blue Jays Organisation and has split his last two years in the Atlantic League between Lancaster and New Britain where he's gone deep 30 times, driven in 135 and swiped 111 bases across two seasons.

You might have even seen Crouse on Sports Centre earlier this year, when he robbed KC Hobson of a home run (view video below).

Crouse can play any outfield position and is expected to slot straight into an outfield that now features Tyler Neslony and Delmon Young while providing some much-needed offensive support.

Crouse will travel with the team to Sydney this weekend for the all-important series against the Blue Sox from 28 - 31 December.

Crouse will make his first appearance at home the following week when we take on the Canberra Cavalry from 4 - 7 January.
