A four-RBI night from Donald Lutz has lifted Brisbane to an 11-5 win over Sydney at Holloway Field on Saturday night.

The Bandits scored 10 unanswered runs after the Blue Sox had built a 5-1 lead against Brisbane starter Travis Blackley.

Sydney leadoff man Trent D'Antonio homered on the first pitch of the game against Blackley as the Sox chased their first win of the series and second on the road this season.

Lutz drove in his first run of the evening in the bottom half of the first, scoring Aaron Whitefield to cancel out D'Antonio's opener.

Sydney continued to pressure Blackley, adding two runs in the second and third.

Alex Howe's RBI-double put the Sox ahead in the second before a passed ball doubled the lead.

Chiang Chih-hsien then went deep for the fifth time on the season after Jacob Younis singled to lead off the third.

Down four, the Bandits continued to swing the bats and it worked to perfection.

Lutz homered in the third, a solo shot to right centre field.

Ryan Battaglia leadoff the fourth with his first long ball of the season.

Lutz then tripled, driving in David Sutherland (double) and Aaron Whitefield (double), and scored himself on Mitch Nilsson's first RBI of the series.

Logan Wade added a three-run shot in the bottom of the sixth ahead of Holloway's curfew ending play early.

Blackley allowed four earned runs on nine hits, striking out nine in six innings.

Brisbane will chase a series sweep in game four tomorrow.
