Aussie pair Mitch Nilsson and Josh Tols have claimed the Delta Airlines Players of the Week following their impeccable Round 2 performances.

Mitch Nilsson has set the ABL alight in the first two rounds of the 2017/18 season, putting up astronomical numbers and making him an easy choice for Player of the Week.

Nilsson was the lynchpin of a Bandits offence that went on a tear against the Perth Heat, with the switch-hitting star finishing the series with eight hits, 12 RBI and three home runs.

In potentially the hottest start to an ABL season ever, Nilsson's numbers speak for themselves (.577/.667/1.154), as the Team Australia represtentative has the unique distinction of claiming more total bases (30) than at-bats (26) this season.

Pitching against your former team is never easy, but Josh Tols kept Bite hitters guessing all weekend to claim the Pitcher of the Week.

Tols bounced back after a tough opening weekend to record a save in the Aces' game one win (1IP, 3K), before backing it up on Sunday with a dominant relief appearance (4IP, 3H, 0ER, 6K).

Hitters are only managing a paltry .171 batting average against Tols, who continues to play a major role for the Aces in both a starting and relief role.

Tols and Nilsson will lock horns in week three, as the Melbourne Aces host the Brisbane Bandits in a 2016/17 ABLCS rematch.
