Baseball Australia and the Australian Baseball League (ABL) are excited to announce Sportnext as a major sponsor for the 2017/18 ABL season.

Sportnext offer a skill-based alternative to sports betting by introducing capital markets to sport; allowing fans to become more involved in their favourite ABL team. This innovative platform allows ABL fans to trade virtual shares in skill-based contests during the season.

Baseball Australia CEO Cam Vale is looking forward to the launch of Sportnext as the ABL season begins.

"To have such a unique brand partner with the ABL is exciting for everyone involved," Vale said.

"To have the ABL as the world's first league on the platform is fantastic for our brand, and we are eager to work closely with Sportnext on some unique opportunities that can deliver major benefits to our teams and grassroots community."

Founder & CEO of Sportnext, JP Rambert is excited to partner with the ABL for the launch of this groundbreaking platform into the global marketplace.

"The team and I are really excited as we enter our public beta phase as a Major Partner of Baseball Australia and the Australian Baseball League, a growing national league with a strong international presence," Rambert said.

"Our exciting platform will evolve even further to enable sport fans to monetise their sports knowledge and skill in a sustainable way, unlike what is currently on offer from sports betting and similar chance-based offerings in the market."
