The CompassMarkets.com Sydney Blue Sox (9-11) have named their roster for part two of the back-to-back series against Melbourne Aces (15-5), commencing on Thursday night at Blue Sox Stadium.

Last series the Blue Sox were up against the Melbourne Aces on the road, dropping all four games on the road trip. This weekend they hope to come back with a win on home soil and continue their strong home record of 8-4.

The Aces are still currently holding the lead of the competition. The players are returning back from the Christmas break, with a strong contingent back after being a part of the ABL All Star Game. Melbourne had 12 players selected while the Blue Sox had seven.

The Blue Sox welcome two new overseas stars from the Japanese Amateur Baseball Association (JABA). Pitcher Yuti Katayama and infielder Ryo Nishimura, who will take the place of Ryo Yoshikoshi and Hiroki Yamazaki.
