SYDNEY, 18 July - Sam Bat and the Australian Baseball League (ABL) have announced that they will be renewing their existing partnership. The new three-year agreement will see the Canadian-based bat supplier partner with the ABL through to the completion of the 2016/17 ABL season.

Along with being the Official Supplier of Bats to the ABL, Sam Bat will also provide their support to the Australian National team. The Southern Thunder recently defeated MLB's Arizona Diamondbacks at an exhibition match at the SCG in March.

"Sam Bat is well known for supplying bats to Major League Baseball MVP and Triple Crown Winner Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers. It's great to know that on Australian soil our top players will be using such a high-calibre product," noted ABL National Commercial Manager Alex Pellerano.

Sam Bat has been manufacturing Major League-sanctioned bats since 1997 and has been partnered with the ABL since 2010. The ABL are pleased to have the agreement finalised, noting that the ongoing support of Sam Bat and the quality of their products have had a significant influence in helping the league not only prosper but grow in popularity each year.
