The Adelaide Bite proudly presented by SA Power Networks in partnership with the Australian Baseball League is pleased to announce the following import players signed from the Los Angeles Dodgers organisation;

Chris Jacobs (1B)

James Baldwin (CF)

Blake Smith (P)

James Campbell (P)

Chris Jacobs, and Blake Smith both play for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in the Class A California League. The Quakes won the 2013 California League Organisation of the Year, a prestigious honour awarded to the most "complete" baseball franchise that has demonstrated franchise stability and significant contributions to its community, league and the baseball industry.

James Baldwin and James Campbell play for Great Lakes Loons in the Class A Midwest League. The Loons made the Midwest League Eastern Division Semi-Final, but went down to the South Bend Silver Hawks.

GM Nathan Davison said of Chris Jacobs and James Baldwin, “these guys will add significant depth to our roster, power players like Chris and James will excite the crowd at Norwood Oval this year.”

James Baldwin once stole six bases in a game for the Arizona League Dodgers, and was ranked No. 17 among Dodgers prospects by entering the 2013 season.

Blake Smith was a member of Team USA that won the gold medal at the 2008 IV FISU World Collegiate Baseball Championship in the Czech Republic.
