SYDNEY, 10 January - The Australian Women's All-Star team will take on New South Wales to open Sydney Blue Sox v Melbourne Aces on Saturday January 12 2013 in Sydney.

The ABF and ABL together with Baseball NSW and the Sydney Blue Sox are pleased to announce the first ever ABL Women’s All Star Game, a combined initiative of Australian Baseball to harness the future development of Women’s Baseball.

The game will commence at 4:30pm at Blue Sox Stadium, Blacktown Olympic Park. Game three of the four game Blue Sox v Aces series will then start at 7:30pm.  A special admission rate will be available for supporters to both the Women’s All-Star Game and ABL game to follow.  For further ticketing information go to www.sydneybluesox.com.au or email sales@sydneybluesox.com.au.

MLB’s Girls ‘Train with the Pros’

To start the day like pros and bring the initiative full circle to encourage the development of Women’s Baseball, a combined effort of MLB, Baseball NSW, ABF and ABL are pleased to present the inaugural Girls ‘Train with the Pro’s’.

This girls-specific ‘Train with the Pros’ is an opportunity for the future stars of women’s baseball to meet and train with the Australian Women’s All-Star Team.

Supported and staffed on the day by the senior women’s players, this first ever MLB Girls ‘Train with the Pro’s’ will be free to all participants making it an accessible opportunity for all junior girl players.

Each Girls ‘Train with the Pro’s’ participant on Saturday 12 January will receive:
MLB T-Shirt, MLB Team Cap, MLB Back Sack, MLB Water Bottle, and will equipment required for the event on the day.

This is a great initiative to encourage young female ball players.  Come out to the ballpark, ‘Train with the Pros’ and then stay and watch them play in the ABL Women’s All-Star Game - a not to be missed day of fun.

To register your interest please contact admin@baseballnsw.com.au and further information will be available at www.nsw.baseball.com.au shortly.
