SYDNEY, 21 December - The Australian Baseball League presented by 'Be the Influence: Tackling Binge Drinking' has confirmed that both the Sydney Blue Sox and the Canberra Cavalry driven by Rolfe Renault would host at least one playoff game if both teams maintain their current standing in the league.
Coming out of the All-Star break, which represents the halfway point in league play, Canberra are second on the ladder while the Blue Sox sit in third. The teams and league have agreed that if those standings hold, or are inverted, they will split hosting responsibilities for the three-game series in round one of the 2012-13 Be the Influence Australian Baseball League Postseason. The higher-seeded team would boast home field advantage, hosting the first and, if necessary, decisive third games of the series.
