MELBOURNE- Adelaide ETSA Bite turned the previous night's nightmare into a dream win against Melbourne Aces in the Australian Baseball League, with a come-from behind 6-3 victory on Friday night in Melbourne.

Paul Mildren for the Bite and Melbourne's Tetsuya Nishikawa were on top from the mound, as the game went into the seventh inning tied 1-1, the Aces scoring on a wild throw in the second frame and Adelaide on an infield out in the third.

The fireworks started in the bottom of the seventh when Melbourne lit up the skies with hits, Elliot Biddle leading off with a single and Matt Lawman hitting a long double, and, after one out, Adelaide brought reliever Adrian Burnside to the mound.

It looked like the Aces' James Beresford was going to be the game's hero, when his hit to centrefield brought both runners home for a 3-1 Melbourne lead.

But, while Adelaide suffered an embarrassing loss the previous night with an error-laden effort, the baseball gods decided to reverse fortunes on Friday.

Jeremy Cresswell lead off the eighth inning with a double, and after two walks and an out, the bases were loaded. A double play ball was hit to second base, which should have finished the threat, but an error by the first baseman scored one run and left the rally alive.

A big double from Scott Gladstone plated one run, with the catcher easily having the second runner cold but dropped the ball, for the Bite to grab the lead 4-3. Josh Cakebread singled home an insurance run before the final out was made in the inning.

Burnside pitched the bottom of the eighth and retired the side in order, while Stefan Welch doubled and scored on Tom Brice's hit in the ninth to pad out the scoreline, while Tom Becker threw a perfect bottom of the ninth for the save.

The Adelaide ETSA Bite will broadcast tomorrow night's game 3 in Melbourne with live commentary. Find the broadcast on the Bite's website under the "Broadcast" tab
