SYDNEY - Saturday evening's doubleheader between the Melbourne Aces and Sydney Blue Sox at Blacktown Olympic Park has been postponed due to rain. Saturday's postponed opener will now move to Sunday morning at 11 AM. That contest will be seven innings, and a nine-inning series finale for Melbourne and Sydney is still scheduled for 1.30 PM Sunday afternoon.

Fans who possess tickets to Saturday's games will be able to use them as rain check tickets for the 12 January series opener between the Blue Sox and the Adelaide Bite at Blacktown Olympic Park.

The Aces and Sox were nearing first pitch time when rains arrived in the Rooty Hill area just prior to the schedule 5 PM start time for the evening's first contest. Further information on the makeup date for Saturday's second scheduled game will be posted here on SydneyBlueSox.com.au when it becomes available.

The Blue Sox wish to thank all fans and patrons for their cooperation and patience during Saturday's weather delay.

For all information concerning tickets, rain checks, and rescheduling, please refer to the ABL's official weather policy.
